Baggage Check :: Thorncrown Chapel

Kelly here! Holiday parties are looming and as the excitement builds, so does the slight anxiety that comes with planning a winter party wardrobe…

valentino fashion week sparkly ice winter gown model white silverOf course, inspiration struck the moment I laid eyes on these two magnificent Elie Saab gowns. While I usually have a hard time parting with my basics, this holiday season I’m longing to gleam and glisten! Nothing helps you stand out in a crowd quite like a touch of shimmer, and can you imagine how incredible it would feel to wear one of these dresses to a holiday party at the famous Thorncrown Chapel in Eureka Springs? So, my pledge this season should be a fun one: whether I’m cocktail party-hopping or off to a formal affair, there’s no doubt I’ll be adding a bit of sparkle to each outfit for a totally glam look. What about you? I’d love to hear how you all plan to dress up your wardrobes this season…

    I know that chapel… not sure that they have holiday parties there, mostly weddings, but still… it’s a spectacular place. Inspiring, indeed. And those gowns are fantastic.

    My holiday style resolution was to never question whether I would be overdressed… I have always questioned something as being too sparkly or too fancy, and then the beautiful outfit/dress stays in my closet, hardly ever seeing the light of day (or candlelight of night). Not this year! It’s all glitter/sparkle all the time! (Beautiful Valentino gowns btw!! Great inspiration!!)

      I LOVE that resolution – bring on the sparkle, and wear what makes you feel great! xo

    Ever since I saw Anne Hathaway wearing this: http://socialitelife.com/jake-gyllenhaal-and-anne-hathaway-premiere-love-down-under-12-2010/anne-hathaway-and-jake-gyllenhaal-at-the-premiere-of-love-and-other-drugs-in-sydney-9

    I’ve been lusting for such a statement dress. I spotted a similar one a few days ago in Custo Barcelona but it’s in shades of silver instead of gold.

    My hair color is similar to the one Emma Stone wears in Crazy stupid love but less intense, should I wear Gold or Silver?

    Thank You for your help! :)

    I discovered your wonderful blog two days ago and I think it’s amazing!!

      Oh that sounds gorgeous – I loved Emma’s hair in that movie! I honestly think you could get away with either…but I think that a beautiful bronze-y gold would be especially stunning.
