Jam Session

I’m so into all the cool new ways that creative people are showcasing recipes on the web these days…

This one, sent to me from photographer Carl Pendle, is no exception, and I love how he highlighted the farm-to-table aspect by starting the recipe at the very beginning: in the plum orchard. The video is vintage-y, serene and oh-so-charming, and I suddenly find myself craving a pot of tea and a stack of toast slathered with the freshest fruit jam. Have you guys ever made homemade jam? I’m dying to try it for myself!

My Great Uncle in Egypt makes a killer apricot jam. He claims all he uses is fresh apricots, sugar and water. I’m hoping one day he’ll teach me.
