Bring it Home :: Mid-Century Romance

Cristina, here! And with so much love in the air, It’s no wonder I’m finding myself attracted to everything pink, red, and any combination of the two. So when I found this dining room I was swooning, to say the least… Mid-Century modern dining chairs in candy colors will have any design buff’s heart aflutter. Top it off with the flickering candlelight of an iron chandelier and you have my idea of a romantic meal for two! Keep reading to learn how to recreate this look in your own home.

I love the look of mis-matched dining chairs, but recreating the look at home can be a long and difficult process, so I prefer to choose one dining chair in a few different hues. And I don’t know about you, but I’ve been having a love affair with the color combination of pink and red lately! The classic lines of this Eero Saarinen armchair in bright colors makes for fun dining seating, add a rustic halo chandelier and a kelim rug and you have a brilliant mix of pieces from different styles and periods! What do you think… could you go for multi-colored dining chairs in your home?

Those chairs look wonderful against a neutral and natural palette, as shown above. Thanks so much for sharing!

I like the midcentury design. I think that it is so retro-cool (I made up this work, but I’m sure that you will get the meaning).

I love multicoloured chairs in the dining room. We were going to have some until we picked up some original danish chairs at auction. Mid-century is a great combination of shapes and colours and tones well with pieces from different eras/styles – like that fantastic rug!

I love the look of mismatched dining room chairs! I’m definitely going to do it when I get my first house, probably in the way you’ve shown. I don’t know if I would have the patience to pick out different chairs that match but don’t match at the same time.
