Date Night

Tribeza mag asked my hubby and me to spill details on our perfect evening together for a “Date Night” feature in this month’s Romance Issue. And I must say, this was one of the most fun shoots I’ve been part of. Of course, our perfect night means sipping wine and grilling homemade pizzas together on the back patio, so for the shoot, we rolled out dough, chopped up toppings and got in a cherry tomato fight. Photographer Chad Wadsworth did such an amazing job capturing our personalities and the fun we always have together…so much so, that we ended up covered in flour by the end of the shoot. Hop on over to read the entire interview (don’t miss my husband’s “words of wisdom” at the bottom…really?!) And keep reading, ’cause I’m sharing a few of my favorite outtakes here!

And while we’re on the subject… what’s your idea of the perfect date night?

Adorable! Last night I did a Valentine’s date night. We both are dying to go to Paris, so I cooked a French dinner, had French folk music and plenty of wine and finished the night by watching Midnight in Paris. It was fabulous!

Aaah, that is so fun! I love when you can turn a “normal” night with just the two of you into a totally special occasion!

I love that this feature showcases the two of you as a couple while letting your individual personalities shine.

P.S. Your hubby is a fox!

Love this! My husband and I have had date nights since early in our relationship and I think they are so important! Also love your husband advice… My husband loves to grab my butt!

The article and outtakes look great! You two make a great couple. :)

My idea of a perfect date night depends on whether it’s a night out or a night in. A night in making a delicious home-cooked comfort meal and curling up on the couch together is always fun, but an impromptu night out with drinks, food, and discussion a-plenty are definitely the most memorable.

My idea of the perfect date night has changed over the years. I used to be all about the “fuss” of a big night out with dinner and dancing. Now, I’m perfectly happy with dinner on the couch and our favorite show. This Vday we are taking that a step further by adding some chocolate fondue. You can’t go wrong with fondue!

Great shoot and congrats on the article feature. It’s lovely!

Thanks! It’s actually a striped tee shirt DRESS – my fave, from Club Monaco.

    The pics are adorable!

I love an excuse to put on great shoes and sit at a bar with a fancy cocktail and flirt. Since I live in New York, there is ALWAYS some great place we haven’t been yet.

How fun to capture a night in your home with wonderful photographs! My husband and I are big on nights like this – and we either do our own pizzas, paninis or order sushi to be delivered!
