The Byrd Collective :: Ranunculus Love Affair

Ash of The Byrd Collective here with this week’s dose of floral inspiration, and today it’s all about my favorite flower in the world. Although it may sound strange, I fell in love with ranunculus about 16 years ago.  My heart skipped a beat when I first laid eyes on the delicious layers of petals that made up this stunning bloom. The evidence of my total adoration? I eventually gave eternal gratitude to this flower by having a blush version tattooed on my ankle.  The ranunculus is, simply put, my happy place.  I try to showcase her as often as I can, usually standing tall above the rest of the flowers in my arrangements. For this look, my client wanted red roses, which I combined with hydrangea, lilac, Juliet garden roses, Queen Anne’s lace, anemones, bush ivy…and I must say, the ranunculus steals the show, peaking out above it all. Keep reading for more eye candy!

I have a bouquet of ranunculus sitting next to me right now, and completely share your love for them. They’re so full and beautiful, but dainty at the same time…and don’t get me started on the beautiful variety of colors! Thanks for sharing your awesome work.

Ooooh I love that apricot rose. I am a professional artist and paint large linen canvases of flowers in oils, that Rose is inspring me, do you have any other shots of it without the leaf in the front?

By the way I love your blog and am an ardent follower now.
