Jennifer here, already accused of taking this post way too seriously! But hey — after 12+ years of living in Austin and countless wristbands tucked in my scrapbook, I’ve learned a thing or two about surviving music festivals. And I’m not about to send you out there in a pair of espadrilles and tight jeans. No, there’s a real art to dressing for concerts. Whether it’s SXSW, Coachella, or Bonnaroo you’re headed to this spring, you’ll want to be prepared for blazing hot sun, knee-deep mud, unexpected dance-offs and (of course) the magical chance of getting backstage. And take it from someone who knows: anything is possible with the right outfit.

I’m a big fan of long skirts and dresses for sunny shows — they breathe in the heat, are easy to deal with in the restroom, and double as a blanket when you need a place to sit! That said, it’s sometimes fun to show a little leg with a cute sundress or pair of cut offs, too. And I’m always looking for any excuse to sport a romper. So, loose-fitting and comfortable are really the only hard-and-fast rules — any of the above looks would be great! Now, if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got some tickets to buy…
