Ingredients

For the lavender simple syrup:

  • 2 cups water
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3 tablespoons dried lavender

For the lemonade:

  • 5 to 6 large lemons
  • 4 cups water
  • lemon slices, for garnish
  • lavender sprigs, for garnish

Instructions

  1. To make the simple syrup, combine the water and sugar into a small saucepan over medium high heat. Bring it to a boil and stir until sugar is dissolved.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in honey and dried lavender. Cover for 30 minutes and let the lavender steep. Strain the liquid to separate the dried lavender from the simple syrup.
  3. Juice the lemons. In a large pitcher, combine the freshly squeezed lemon juice, water, and lavender simple syrup. Chill for an hour and serve over ice.

I might try this for a perfect pairing party this weekend! Do you have any food suggestions of what it might go well with?
