Pretty Simple :: Nailed It!

By Martha Lynn
Martha Lynn here, and just because the temperatures are dropping doesn’t mean we’re allowed to ignore our precious toes and fingernails! The fall nail trends I’ve been seeing lately are so much fun, and will leave you running to your favorite nail salon. I have to admit I was never a fan of nail art, but since I joined Pinterest I can’t get enough of the creative ways out there to dress up your fingers. Bold nails are making a huge comeback on the fashion scene, and even if you’re scared to take the plunge with statement designs, I recommend experimenting with one nail or even getting started on your toes.

Dressed Up Neutrals:  I love the way this look is subtle enough for everyday, but adds a bit of “party” to your nails. These would be perfect for the holidays and already have me thinking about my New Years plans!

Coral:  This unexpected pairing of coral and beige makes this typically summer color very fall-appropriate… and a splash of gold is always welcome! from hello giggles

Matte:  Something about matte polish looks so wintery and adds a little something special. In love with the way this version has it paired with high gloss for a gorgeous contrast!

Metallic: This look is seriously bold… metallic polish makes your nails look like a piece of jewelry and would perfectly compliment a little black dress!

Confetti Nails: This look is so much fun, but it’s really the technique I love, and can see it in berry shades for fall!  I love how this one has the “confetti” concentrated in the corner.

Neon: I absolutely love the bright yellow paired with the black and white.  Neon is a great way to brighten up your look during the drab winter months.

Stripes: Go bold with thick stripes or keep things minimal with one skinny stripe on each nail.

Ombre Nails: From hair to the runways, ombre is everywhere right now, so it makes perfect sense that it’d show up on your nails. You can achieve this look by adding a drop of white to your polish as you paint!

…and my new go-to polish for achieving these looks is Megan Miller (coming soon to Mirror Mirror!) — great colors and the bottle is a little work of art!
