Pretty Simple :: Triple Braided Bun

September 18th, 2012

Triple Braided Bun Tutorial | Camille Styles

Ever since Martha Lynn shared this hair style with us, it’s been our go-to look for fabulous hair on the fly. Safe to say this updo is one of the easiest we’ve featured in our Pretty Simple series — if you can braid, you can achieve these ornate buns in minutes. And worry not, this romantic do suits nearly everyone (even if you don’t have Claire’s long locks). I have to warn you though: once you try these braided buns, you just might (actually… most definitely will) get hooked. Keep reading for the tutorial!

Triple Braided Bun Tutorial | Camille Styles

  1. Section hair into three vertical sections and pull back section into a ponytail.
  2. Braid ponytail and secure at the end.
  3. Tie braid in a knot and tuck the tail behind the knot. Secure with a bobby pin.
  4. Braid side section and secure at the end.
  5. Pull braid towards the back bun and tie in a knot. Again, tuck the tail behind the bun and secure with bobby pins.
  6. Repeat steps 4 & 5 with final section and spray all over.

This is so pretty and her hair is gorgeous! I can’t wait until my hair is long enough to actually pull this off.

  7. […] The triple braided bun is a little more complex but still quite easy to get right. First you section the hair into three vertical sections. You pull the back section into a ponytail and you braid it. You tie the braid in a knot and tuck the tail behind. Then braid a side section and pull it towards the back bun. Tie in a knot and tuck the tail behind the bun. Do the same thing for the other side.{found on camillestyles}. […]
