Pretty Simple :: Camille’s Beauty Essentials

One of my favorite parts of blogging is that we get to feature so many creative, chic people’s beauty and style tips… I’m constantly picking up new tips to add to my routine! Lately though, I’ve been getting a lot of requests to share some of my beauty essentials, and the truth is, I’ve amassed quite a few must-haves that I find myself constantly recommending to friends. You know, those items that send me into a panic when I think I might run out – which is why I usually stock up on 3 at a time. The items that I pack into travel-sized containers for a trip so I don’t have to go a single day without them. Click through for all my picks – and let me know if you have any personal faves that should have made it onto my list!

Cetaphil.

This dermatologist favorite was recommended to me for years before I finally started using it…and boy am I glad I did. The gentle formula gets every last trace of makeup off without drying out my skin.

Clarisonic Skin Brush.

Ever since I started using my Clarisonic every other day in the shower, blackheads have become a thing of the past. It also opens up pores so that any treatment lotions I apply post-shower absorb really well.

Great products and you covered all the bases! Thanks for sharing Camille! Some of these I have read about for so long but now you’ve given me the affirmation needed to try it myself! :)

I definitely think some of these little splurges are the quickest way to freshen up your whole look!

My Urban Decay All Nighter Spray and Million Voluminous Lashes Mascara are my all time favorites!

I have to try that style extender. I have fine hair too and it’s always flat the next day so I feel a need to re-wash it.

Great list! I already use Million Lashes Mascara and Urban Decay’s make up setting spray for my everyday ‘minimal’ make up and can attest to the things you wrote about them! Thumbs up for the remaining great picks (Cetaphil cleaner… omg! the best)

Such a great list! I just added several items to my must-haves! Thank you, Camille! I also love my Clarasonic ~ it’s a game changer for skin. For our hot/humid Texas climate, I love, LOVE Lauder’s Invisible Fluid Foundation. I get a fantastic finish, but it truly doesn’t look like I’m wearing foundation {and I have tried them all!}. And I, too, have fine hair and love Bumble and Bumble’s Surf Spray. It gives my hair volume and “grip” when blowing dry, but doesn’t weigh it down or make it sticky. I love to try new stuff. Thanks again!

You know, the Surf Spray is a cult favorite that for some reason I’ve never tried! Will definitely give it a whirl this summer when I’m going for that surfer girl “didn’t try too hard” look! ;)

I will happily snag beauty tricks from you, Camille :) So excited to try some of these products! If they work half as well on me as they do on you (your photos are always so gorgeous!), I will be super happy

One day I need to eventually try Clarisonic. I only hear good things. I’ll add it to my list of to-dos :)

I love seeing what beauty products you all are using (and loving)! I’m with you on clarisonic and sugar. LOVE them both. I’m a Dr Jart BB cream girl. Love that stuff. Aveda is my go to for hair products, but I’ve been hearing good things about Living Proof. I wonder how it would work on curly/wavy hair. May have to give it a whirl!

I swear by cetaphil and my clarasonic- they’re lifesavers! I’ve got to give the YSL foundation a try!

I love, love, love my Clarisonic, too. Best beauty splurge ever! Does the Urban Decay makeup setting spray work better than primer?

I actually use both – smashbox primer before makeup, setting spray after. I need it to last ALL day and this combo does the trick!

I think I need to run to the store to get the Bamboo Volume Spray! Does it really last 48 hours? Do you just spray your roots or all over your head?

Great products! I too struggle with crazy post preggo skin (cystic acne!!) but because I am breastfeeding I am scared to try any prescription medication, is acanya gel safe for breastfeeding?

To be honest, the jury is technically still out… there hasn’t been a ton of research done on Acanya gel and breastfeeding yet, but my OB-GYN said they were fine with me using it since there haven’t been any negative findings and it is only topically applied. But definitely chat with your Dermatologist and OB to find out what their take on it is, since it’s kind of a grey area.

This is a great line-up, C! I am actually in the middle of sampling YSL’s foundation and really like it. One of my arsenal must-haves: Benefit’s Eye Bright…it is essential to making my eyes appear bright and well-rested (especially after a long night up with a baby!)

Camille you’ve truly inspired me, in all honestly I am obsessed with this list! I will be buying all of these, my credit card thanks you… I have incredibly fine hair and have used Aragon/Moroccan oil but it all weighs my hair down, do you possibly have a suggestion for another product?

    Thank you!
