Pretty Simple :: Wearing Falsies

I’ve given fake eyelashes a try or two, but after a few good pokes in the eye I came to the realization that I probably wasn’t putting them on properly. When the idea is for them to look naturally glamorous, I kept winding up with results that were far from seamless — and after speaking to a handful of friends I found that I wasn’t the only one struggling with faux lashes. Since this is one technique that can make a big impact, we figured that a few simple steps from Martha Lynn were in order to up our makeup game and finally nail down the art of the application. I always want to do this at home but stuggle. I love the look when professionally done though. You have inspired me to give it another shot.

    lovely photos! as a makeup artist, i get questions about this all the time (i posted a vid about it, too!). these tips are helpful, but i think it’s so much easier for a novice if you use tweezers, get really tight to your mirror, drop them down in the middle of your lash, and then tuck in each end. almost foolproof! x

    I’ve also heard that if you cut the lashes in half and just apply them to the outer corner of your lash line, you can get a little pop of lashes, but it’s not as hard as a whole set of falsies.
