The Gold Standard

rifle paper company thank you cards stationery gold new cute

I bet you were all starting to worry, huh? Going months without taking time out to gush over Rifle Paper Co. is practically unheard of around here. But then, when the leading light in paper & stationery debuted their new Gold Rush line earlier this week, we had to break our silence with a blaring ‘I want them all!’ Aren’t they just lovely? That delicately printed gold foil is right up our alley. Be sure to head over to Rifle to peruse all that is good in the paper world, or if you’re really feeling crafty, have a stab at making your own gilded stationery!

Oscar Ready

What do you all have on the agenda for the Oscars this Sunday? Are you heading over to a friend’s for a screening, or hosting a dinner watch-party at your place, perhaps? Whatever your plans, turn up the Hollywood glamour by infusing the decor and food (yes, food) with gold details and touches of sparkle. Thought we’d share a little sneak peak from our Oscar night for HGTV, where guests dined at a gilded dinner table, then curled up with cocktails and popcorn to enjoy the Academy Awards. Sorry kids, the shoot won’t air until next year, but stay tuned for the fun DIY’s we’ll be posting all week long!

Bring it Home :: Easy Gallery Wall

ryann-ford-interior-office-wall-of-picture-frames

Ahh the frame wall, will we ever tire of it? I (Cristina) certainly haven’t had enough of this look, and with so many creative variations I don’t think I ever will (did you see Claire’s great wall? How ’bout Camille’s?).  Curating and hanging a gallery wall in your own home can be a daunting task, so I’m loving this collection of coordinated prints that makes it a snap. I’m especially feeling the simplicity of the square grid which makes my least favorite chore – hanging picture frames – much more manageable. Keep reading to see how to create an easy gallery wall in your home! more +

How ’bout a game night?

deborahneedlemanhome

Are you guys fans of board games? While I admit we’re not usually “game” people, lately I’ve been wanting to invite a few other couples over for a retro-style game night with hors d’oeuvres, cocktails and friendly competition that lasts late into the night. Hop over to coco+kelley where I shared my entire game night fantasy last week… and let me know if you have any favorite board games that should be added to my repertoire! Hope you’re all having a fun Sunday, and stay tuned for tomorrow, ’cause I *just might* have a fun little feature going up on (eek!) Design*Sponge! xx  more +

Weekend Notes

Cheesecake_Caramel_Cupcakes

Ahhh, the weekend! In my dreams, I wake up to blueberry pancakes in bed with a long, unscheduled Saturday stretching before me…in reality, the team and I are already hard at work, prepping for today’s French-inspired Baby Shower shoot for HGTV. Not that I’m complaining; I really can’t wait to see how this one comes together! Think black & white toile with splashes of girly pink, kind of like this inspiration board. Will do my best to share some sneak peeks via Instagram today (you can follow me @camillestyles.) What’s on all of your agendas? If you’re not working, get some major relaxation in for me, will ya? And as always, enjoy a few of my favorite links from the weekmore +

Pinned Down :: Just Peachy

As I began working on today’s edition of Pinned Down, I immediately noticed how many gorgeous images I’ve been pinning lately in an ombré of tangerine…that fades to peach…that fades to whispers of pink. I love this color palette, and it just so happens to coincide with an influx of perfectly ripe, sweet peaches in the grocery (imported from Chile, I believe.) I’ve been eating them like crazy with my Greek yogurt in the morning and topping vanilla bean ice cream in the evening. Tonight I’m hosting a little dinner party, and plan to make Gwyneth’s pavlovas topped with fresh whipped cream and lightly sweetened peaches…will let you know how it goes! In the meantime, keep reading for more peach inspiration (and their original sources), and if you’re not already, follow me on Pinterest heremore +

I’m fairly confident that today’s featured artist could have an entire series on the blog devoted to showcasing her work. With a look that’s entirely handmade in virtually every color found in nature, this pottery is everything I could possibly want in my kitchen.
