Find Your Seat, Pt II

Clothesline Seating Chart-Snippet & Ink

I admit it: I’ve gone escort-card-crazy (yep, it’s possible!) This morning’s post led to so many fab finds, I just had to share a few more! While the first batch of images showed escort card displays that were super creative and even a bit over-the-top, this grouping is a little more subtle and every bit as stylish. more +

Modern Escort Card Display, Style Me Pretty

I’m continually ‘wowed’ by the creativity of escort card displays spotted on events across the web. This decor element has suddenly taken center stage as one of the most innovative ways to highlight a wedding or party’s theme, while serving a totally functional purpose. I fell in love with the muted colors on the minimalist cards above, but I’m equally enamored with the more elaborate versions below… more +

The Key to a Man’s Heart…

Valentines Day, Amy Atlas

Valentine’s Day wouldn’t be complete without an Amy Atlas-designed dessert table overflowing with artfully-arranged sweets. I’ve noted my Amy Atlas obsession in previous posts here and here, but I couldn’t resist sharing these drippingly gorgeous shots that are appropriately themed “Love Is the Key to My Heart.” The bubblegum pink & soft grey palette is a refreshing alternative to Valentine’s red, and the tempting treats include key cupcakes, a macaron tower, ruffled buttercream cake, & loads of candy! Lucky for us, Amy shares a few of her tried-and-true tips on designing chic and sweet buffets… more +

Valentine's Postcard 1

Just in case you’re running a bit behind on shopping for Valentine’s notes & goodies this year (as usual!), here’s a darling DIY freebie from Alana Davis that you can download, print, & pop in the mail in a single afternoon. Love the vintage graphics & text…something about French writing just screams “language of love,” don’t you think? more +

La Vie En Rose

XOXO

Make this Valentine’s Day one to remember and throw a late-night dessert party… whether it’s a decadent gathering for 20 or a romantic rendezvous for two.  Set an amorous tone with a “Love Letters” theme that’s reflected in the invitations, menu, and decor, and opt for a glamorous color palette of boldly combined reds and pinks.  No matter your relationship status, this is the year’s best excuse to break out the bubbly and shamelessly satisfy your chocolate cravings. more +

Orange Crush

Bird CageLately I’ve been really into designing parties with an all-white canvas, then adding drama with bold splashes of a dominant accent color. (See last Monday’s inspiration board for an example in Pistachio.) While looking through my archives, I almost died with delight to stumble upon this brimming-with-chic wedding shot by Corbin Gurkin & featured on Style Me Pretty. Pops of orange bring a white palette to life, and the entire affair is simple yet completely sophisticated. Just the way I like ‘em. more +

We Go Together Like…

Some Things Belong Together

How brilliant are these custom save-the-dates from Chewing the Cud? The bride is a sommelier & the groom a chef, so using a ‘food pairings’ motif was such a unique way to put a personal stamp on the occasion (which I L-O-V-E!) The cards came with instructions on putting together a puzzle to pair each “couple.” Talk about an unforgettable announcement! more +
