Natalie Davis Gift Guide | Camille Styles

We love South Austininte Natalie Davis for her incredible minimalist style, and we can barely keep up with all she’s doing around town these days! When she’s not busy teaching class at Austin’s St. Edward’s University or planning the next event for Feliz, Natalie is creating gorgeous hand-tooled leather objects for her custom leather collection, Canoe. And (lucky you!) she’s been kind enough to offer our readers a special 10% off all orders until December 25th, using the code GIFTGUIDE. I’ve had my eye on that Jessi leather cuff for a while now, so I am super-excited about this discount! But without further ado, let’s find out what Natalie has in mind for giving and receiving this Christmas:

1. Do you have any decor gift ideas for this year?
A woven basket by Doug Johnston. A perfect gift for the home–useful and beautiful.

2. A great gift for guys?
Spade Shield Key Chain. The perfect gift for the guy who has everything.

3-5. A great accessory gift?
I love these cuffs; they remind me of She-Ra, Princess of Power, in the best way possible. I’m always looking for the perfect hat. I’ve stopped looking. And these dramatic earrings have great movement and are light on the ears, despite their size.

6. Something for the kids?
Growth Chart Box

7. Any other ideas for men?
Vortex wallet from Canoe

8. A great dvd or media gift?
Citizen Architect DVD

9. A favorite book or literary gift?
Literary journal Synonym — It’s a super smart literary journal by Leigh Patterson and Amelia Giller, two talented Austin women.

10. Do you have any go-to gift ideas for co-workers or acquaintances?
I love giving gifts that support small businesses in my community, so I’m giving my friends gift sets from Salt & Time Butcher Shop. By backing their kick starter project to open a local, sustainable butcher shop here in Austin, my gift benefits even more people.

11. What’s a complete “splurge” item you’d love to give or receive this year?
The splurge gift I’d love to receive is the Zen Quilt by Folk Fibers.

12. A great gift for a stylish girl friend?
Deep sky tote bag
from Canoe

13. Do you send thank you notes for Christmas gifts? If so, do you have a favorite press or set of thank you cards?
Yes, I always try to send thank you cards. I used to buy them from Rifle Paper Co., but last year I went ahead and designed my own set.

14. Are gift cards a “do” or a “don’t”? (If they are a “do”, then where from?)
Gift cards can be a godsend for those hard-to-shop-for folks on your list. I buy them from my favorite Austin stores, like Spartan or Schatzelein, knowing that they’ll enjoy picking out something special in a beautiful environment.

15. What do the holidays mean to you? What’s your favorite thing about this time of year?
The holidays mean family, food, and time to relax. I love spending time in the kitchen cooking with my mom, wrapping gifts with my niece and nephew, and catching up on projects with my dad. Getting to relax and read from the stack of books I’ve been collecting feels like the ultimate luxury.
