Something’s definitely in the water around here – I have so many friends getting pregnant and having babies lately (which is actually quite nice since it means lots of future playmates for baby Styles!) Earlier this month I had the honor of hosting one of my best friend’s shower for her soon-to-arrive baby girl. Lauren is the editor and creative director of Tribeza magazine and is one of those people who knows practically everyone in Austin, so it was quite a celebration! To reflect her girly aesthetic and love of pink, we decided on a french theme and used a Bonjour Bébé motif throughout. Mel from She-n-He was there to beautifully capture all the details, and Fête Accompli created a gorgeous display of french-y nibbles. We used tons of black & white toile (this board served as my inspiration) to counterbalance the girly-ness and lend a bit of vintage sophistication. Keep reading for lots more!
I fell madly in love with these baby carriage invitations from Minted (a variation of this style.) Aren’t they the sweetest? Since we didn’t play any traditional baby shower games, I set out apothecary jars for guests to write their best baby advice, as well as their favorite girl names for the mama-to-be’s consideration.
Chanel was sweet enough to create this stunning backdrop and garland for the drinks station using long strips of fabric in shades of pink. Let us know if y’all would like to see a DIY and we’ll happily spill the details!
Friends and co-hosts gathered around the guest-of-honor.
The florals were designed by Merveille, and struck the perfect balance between pretty-in-pink and a bit wild. Snacks included endive with beets and oranges, and grapes stuffed with chèvre and pistachios.
Such a lovely way to spend a Saturday with friends…and these El Rey truffles with raspberry cream made the perfect sweet ending!

Looks great fun! One thing I did for my best friend was had a big jar which we all wrote what we loved best about her or shared funny stories. The jar was then sealed to be opened by baby on her 10th birthday (or you could choose 18th, whatever!). Lily will definitely have fun reading those when she’s older!!

Yes, please on the fabric backdrop DIY! What a beautiful, beautiful shower.
Ah this is so chic and adorable! I love the invitations as well!
What a gorgeous party!
That party looks amazing and I love the idea of the apothecary jars in lieu of games. Please do share the fabric background DIY!
I love that it’s not overly “cutesy” and is just a fabulous party where the guest of honor happens to be still under wraps

please a diy. stunning and a loved the simplicity of the appetizers. when i am in france i love the little bites of food and usually they do some awesome canapes with their great bread.
I love that this shower isn’t so “baby” and takes a more sophisticated, classic approach. Great work, Camille! She was one lucky momma-to-be to have such a beautiful shower hosted in her honor.
lurrrrrve that dress you have on!
I love this idea! Chic yet girly all at the same time.
Excellent!
Love this baby shower! What kind of cake was that…oops maybe I need to go back a read if the flavor is there. I just checked…it’s not there. Could you tell me what kind of cake is was? I love the color of it! Thanks Camille! XO
Of course – my co-host Annie made it. Her grandmother’s Strawberry Cake recipe! It was divine, the hit of the party.
Hello! Can you ask your guest of honor (mommy to be) where she got that gorgeous dress? I would love to wear one like it to my shower!
Sure! Here’s what she said:
It’s from Pickles & Ice Cream. I got it in the San Antonio store. I think they have lots of color options. I would just call them to see since not everything is online.

What a beautiful shower! I love all the attention to detail… just awesome.
Where did you get those wonderful white plates that you have displayed on the dessert tiers?
West Elm! They don’t have them online any more, but *maybe* in store… if not, BHLDN carries some that are very similar!
This is gorgeous! Everything is so perfectly presented and fits perfectly together – was this at someone’s home or in a rented space?
This was at my house!
Thanks for the sweet comment Erin!
This is beautiful! Where did you find the macarons in Austin?
I would love to know how to make the “Bonjour Bebe” sign!! Thanks a bunch!!
