Farm-to-Table Wedding

I love a potluck dinner party as much as the next girl, but would I ever consider it for my wedding? Most likely, no. Then again, if I happened to be a celebrated chef with a posse of fellow foodies and artisans for friends, I might be singing a different tune. Shannon Cook is a Seattle-based Chef Instructor at Le Cordon Bleu College, and her wedding last fall was a gorgeous celebration of everything foodie and family. From an intimate tented ceremony to a light filled reception in a greenhouse, the farm wedding was captured brilliantly by Belathée Photography and is the most perfect display of love and festivity. Keep reading for Shannon’s inspiration, more gorgeous photos, and a few mouth-watering recipes…

As a chef, I wanted to celebrate the season — which at the time was Fall — with wine grapes, heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, and all of the fabulous northwest bounty. We decided to have the wedding at a local organic farm, using their fabulous prodcuce and beautiful grounds.

This looks so yummy and festive, and just how the bride wanted it. That is key to a happy event, and if youre a bride not going with the cookie cutter pressure of a ‘catering hall’ wedding, this is the inspiration!

I am in love with this theme! Brilliant capture. I have never come across anybody capture such a beautiful farm wedding of this sort. Every little detail has been given such careful thought and planning, the execution – brilliant and the food looks so good, I bet it tasted even better, especially being local and fresh. This is such an inspiration!

Right?! Nothing’s better in the summertime than ripe tomatoes with a little olive oil and salt. Fresh, seasonal ingredients at their finest.
