Happy Monday, friends! Sometimes it’s nice to start the workweek with a hefty dose of pure prettiness, isn’t it? Lately I’ve been loving the contrast of humble kraft paper with sleek black, especially when it’s tied up into a classic, feminine bow. Trés chic, non? It definitely speaks to the francophile in me (see bottom right image of always-elegant Sofia Coppola gazing across the Seine, and you’ll see what I mean.) Nothing like a little wanderlust to kickoff a Monday morning, and although it’s not quite as glamorous a destination, I’m counting the days until the team and I head to Salt Lake City for Alt Summit this Wednesday to hang out with some of my fave blogger pals on the planet. It’s always a fun time to catch up with old friends around the country, as well as make lots of new ones. The one thing I haven’t really mentioned here (mainly because I can’t think about it without getting teary) is that I have to leave Phoebe for the first time. Even though I know she’s in great hands with Adam and her grandparents, I’m a little terrified of how I’m going to deal. I mean, right now when I leave her for just a few hours, I’m always dying to get back and pick her up. So how in the world am I going to survive being away from her for 3 days? All you moms out there: any thoughts/tips/advice to share? How did you guys handle leaving your babies for the first time to go out of town? I’d love to hear any words of wisdom because I’m in a bit of a panic!
