Blush & Indigo Inspiration Board | Camille StylesOn Saturday night, we had a casual little dinner party, and as my friend Lauren scanned our almost-entirely beige, cream and white living room, she posed the question: when you want to move beyond your beloved neutrals, what’s your go-to splash of color? I thought about it for a second, and realized that although I love touches of blue as serene accents in our home decor and I’ve been craving emerald green in my wardrobe this season, I somehow always go back to pink. Whether it’s a vivid raspberry that oozes femininity or a barely-there blush that could almost be classified as a neutral itself, pink is the one shade that I never tire of and that seems to feel so right every single season. For fall, I’m loving it in various shades mixed with a moody indigo. The combo was at its best in Erdem’s 2013 Resort collection in which navy and fuchsia shades mingled on patchwork, lace and floral appliqués to dizzyingly romantic effects. This combo is the perfect blend of sophistication with just a hint of bohemian thrown in — exactly how I’m wanting to dress right now. I’d love to hear in the comments below: season after season, what hue do you always return to?
