My House Party with WhoWhatWear

By Camille Styles
Little bites were provided by Launderette

Y’all may have noticed a few #HousePartyInTheHills Instagrams last week as we prepped for the biggest party I’ve ever thrown at my house. I teamed up with WhoWhatWear for a poolside fête during sxStyle, inviting tastemakers who were in town for the festival to join us for snacks off the grill by Launderette and beats by DJ Honeycomb. Thank heavens the weather cooperated and we gathered on a sunshine-y late afternoon and mingled as the sun went down. Excited to share all the party details today – click through for the festivities!

*Big thanks to our party partners!

The Margot Blair team helped transform my backyard terrace into a party-ready oasis.

Since no fashion party is complete without a #selfie station, Alyssa Leanne Hoppe was in from Brooklyn to create a stunning backdrop.

Bartender stands ready to pour at our Veuve Clicquot bubbly bar.

The courtyard on the side of my house was a great place for guests to kick off their heels. Panacea Collection (an incredible new Austin source for party rentals) created these cool lounge-y spots to hang.

West Elm (who I spoke on a panel with the day before) teamed up with us on the party, and we decked out the space with their iconic martini side tables. Guests could instagram a shot of the tables with #MyWestElm to take one home!

The tables made a great spot to perch a glass of bubbly, too.

Party time! This coffee table arrangement with kumquats and foliage was my fave.

DJ Honeycomb was amazing — officially the person I want in charge of music at every party I ever host again (please??) And my bro and his team at TSV Sound and Vision made sure the sound was SXSW-worthy.

Those blooms!! Margot Blair definitely brought the profusion of color and springtime vibes.

We kept the drinks simple and festive with Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label and of course, lots of Rosé.

A few of my favorite gals BonniJamie, Kristin, & Kim.

The Launderette menu was straight out of my dreams:

  • whipped burrata with cashew, brown butter, black mission fig
  • crab toast with fennel aioli, avocado, caper-mint vinaigrette
  • beef tartare with truffle vinaigrette & habanero mustard
  • grilled brussels sprouts with pea puree & mint serrano oil
  • tandoori shrimp with coconut chutney, chile, & mint
  • pork yakitori with tamarind glaze

With Launderette’s co-owner and executive chef Rene Ortiz. I’m such a fan — the restaurant is one of my faves in town, and Rene and I just shot a fun cooking segment together that I can’t wait to share next week.

Wishing our ivy wall could always have fuchsia roses climbing up to the top…

Chanel posts up at the insta-station.

Toasting the beginning of rosé season!

With these cuties Claire and Ashley.

Two of the most stylish sisters in town, Cristina and Sara, don their flower crowns.

It was a sea of stylish accessories.

With my lovely co-panelists, Shani Silver, director of digital content for Domino, and Abigail Jacobs, VP of Brand Marketing for West Elm. It was a truly amazing experience to get to speak with these two superstars at SXSW.

Crab toast for the win.

Guests took home these super cute Outdoor Voices totes (with some store credit tucked inside) to inspire #DoingThings festival-style.
