10 Best Vegetarian Cookbooks

August 30th, 2013

Growing up, a family trip to the farmers market was always a highlight of the weekend. I’d always enjoyed helping out in the kitchen, but being allowed to pick out colorful, vibrant vegetables with my own two curious hands instilled a whole new meaning in my cooking experimentation. These days, though I’m not a vegetarian, I often find myself gravitating toward veggie-centric recipes that showcase the season and make me feel a lot healthier in the process! Hope you find this meatless meal inspiration as refreshing and gorgeous as I do. And I’d love to know: what’s your favorite veggie-focused cookbook? (*featured image source)

All of these look divine. I’m finally getting into cookbooks. I usually find all my recipe inspiration from Pinterest or other blogs. Recently however I have been into buying new cookbooks. I’ll have to look into purchasing a couple of these.

Just like you’re not a vegetarian but like eating that way, my gf is a vegetarian but likes eating vegan. Her go-to cook book is Pure Vegan. Good post Chanel.

  6. I love the book Home Made. We used it as the guest book for our wedding. We have so much fun cooking together and reading the notes from our guests.

It would be helpful if you gave a brief summary of each book.

I’ve been a vegetarian since 2005 and vegan since 2009. We cook daily and I love collecting cookbooks. My favorites are Joy of Vegan Baking by Colleen Patrick-Goudreau, Vegan with a Vengeance by Isa Chandra Moskowitz, and Chloe’s Kitchen by Chloe Coscarelli. Great post!

Can’t wait to check out Vegetable Literacy. I use Vegetarian Cooking for Everyone all the time and love it! I’ve gradually started to eat chicken again, but find that I like adding a bit of chicken into vegetarian recipes, rather than cooking meat centered recipes.

Any chance you or your readers know a vegetarian cookbook IN FRENCH (not of french food necessarily)? Thanks!
