I (Michelle) will be the first to admit that I’m far from a top chef in the kitchen (and my roommates will attest to that), but I’ve been newly inspired by these beautiful backsplashes to spruce up my space and make my cooking comeback. Whether you’re going for a natural pebble stone or a colorful tiled mosaic, these patterned palettes make a bold impression… and since guests always seem to congregate in the kitchen, an artful backsplash might be the perfect focal point to distract from any culinary mayhem at your next dinner party. Follow the jump for a few more risky renovations, and tell me, would you dare turn the heat up in your kitchen with a show stopping backsplash?

I love all the colors! What fun kitchens!
All such gorgeous kitchens but I adore the backsplash in the second and that first kitchen is calling my name!!
I live at the beach, at literally have gazillions of rocks, shells and bits of driftwood I pickup on my walks… the stone backsplash is making my mind race!!! Thank you for the inspiration!
These are gorgeous! We remodeled our kitchen a year ago and skipped a backsplash but now I really want/need one. Thinking of thick, clear glass or white subway tile. The stones are amazing, though.
Oh! That pebbles backsplash is surprisingly amazing!
We’re about to remodel our kitchen and we’re making about 80% “safe” decisions and 20% risky ones. I want to have something classic, but also put our stamp on it. All of the kitchens you posted were fun and very pretty, but it might be hard to live with day in and day out?
Beautiful! I am a huge fan of tile backsplashes. Especially love the first image!

The first and third photo I like.
Glad ya’ll are as inspired as I am! Thanks so much you guys!
I DARE! I love Le Creuset and bright earthenware which would be great as pops of more subtle color in an already statement kitchen. Man, I wish I didnt rent.
