Thanks to Austin’s vibrant creative community, it seems like there’s a cool artist event happening nearly every weekend… but last week’s inaugural Feliz event definitely upped the ante. Natalie Davis and Abby Powell conceived of this “celebration of handmade” to showcase the work of talented makers, and the weekend lineup included artist-led workshops as well as a big ‘ole holiday sale overflowing with beautiful handmade goods. Sadly, I had to sit this one out due to a crazy weekend with out-of-town guests, but Chelsea Fullerton was there to capture every minute. Keep reading for images of some of the standout goods and the artists who made them, and head over to the Feliz blog for more handmade goodness.

This looks lovely! I can’t wait to move to Austin and check out these goodies for myself

Thanks, Ashley! It was lots of fun to see these makers in person.
I believe the Feliz ladies are planning on having another in Austin next year so you’ll have another chance to come next November.
Next time I definitely am going to go! I love making handmade things AND meeting others who do also!
Gorgeous photos. This captures the glow of that room full of beautifully crafted handmade goods.
Thanks, Callen! I had never been to The Palm Door before but it’s now one of my favorite venus in Austin. Simple and light-filled.
