Bonjour! Jenn here, and I’ve gotta admit, we’re in full-on baby mode around here after all the fun at Camille’s shower last Saturday. A friend of mine (and new mom) recently told me about having just read Bringing Up Bébé: One American Mother Discovers the Wisdom of French Parenting. While the parenting styles discussed in the book have been controversial, there’s no argument that the French know a thing or two about style. I mean, they pretty much invented the striped shirt, right? Today I’ve dreamed up a classic Parisian-themed nursery, and with these French-y finds from around the web, little ones are guaranteed to be très chic!

I absolutely love it. I’m in the process of transitioning my daughter rather pink French nursery into a toddler room. =) Love these ideas.

This is lovely inspiration and such a refreshing change from SO many baby/toddler rooms I’ve seen. It will also be easy to transition from baby to toddler to adolescent to tween, etc. with this look.
I went with a Rudyard Kipling/ Bombay/ British India theme for my son when he was born (10 years ago) and that lasted until a few months ago when we moved and went for a more transitional look throughout our whole home!
Oh, your British India theme sounds lovely! I’m with you — I think it’s wise to invest in classic pieces that have the potential to mature along with your child. (From what I hear, they grow up fast!) Cheers, Jenn
