Weekend Notes

Baby Phoebe | Camille Styles

Happy September, you guys! Though I’m technically still taking a post-baby break from blogging, I couldn’t resist popping in to share a new photo of sweet Phoebe… I can’t believe she turns 3 weeks old tomorrow! I’m already seeing how these precious newborn days quickly become weeks, then months, and before I know it, she’ll be a year old. The sappy mama in me is tearing up just thinking about it! I’m comforting myself with the fact that every stage brings its own set of adventures, and it’s thrilling to think about all the “firsts” we have ahead of us: first smile, first word, first step. Motherhood has been all that I’d anticipated and so much more. I’ve been surprised every day: surprised that a 6 lb human can keep me busy around the clock (the diapers! bath time! nursing! meltdowns!), surprised at how often one baby can poop, and most of all, surprised at how I can possibly fall in love with this baby a little more each day. As much as I’m savoring this time where my focus is solely on family, I’m starting to feel a little giddy for my return to blogging in a couple weeks. My creative juices are flowing with ideas for the fall and holiday season, and the team and I have started planning for some amazing features over the coming months. Can’t wait to get to work on them and kickoff what I’m hoping will be our best season ever here on the blog. Hope that you all have a wonderful weekend, and enjoy my favorite links from the week! xx

Back to school in a box.

Saving this as inspiration for my fantasy French countryside getaway.

I think my current healthy eating kick would gladly take a hiatus for these

Or this…though it might be too pretty to eat!

Entertaining with Nina…and her gorgeously-curated shop.

A delish dessert that makes the most of this month’s abundant peaches, apricots, plums and nectarines.

Can’t miss drugstore beauty buys.
