Happy weekend, friends! Hope yours are starting off happy and healthy…and that you’re all managing to avoid this dreaded flu! (you’ve all gotten your vaccines, right?) We had a low-key Friday night at home, drinking wine while we made our favorite curried chicken sandwiches (sharing the recipe this Tuesday), then watched Sleepwalk With Me, which turned out to be a surprisingly good and funny flick. Tonight we’re hosting a going-away party for some of our dearest friends who are moving to DC for a big adventure. I’m super excited for them, but I have to admit that I’m sad to have another friend move away…it’s so hard to keep in touch with so many people I love living in different parts of the country! Have you guys developed any habits that help you stay connected with your long-distance friends? Do you set up regular phone or skype dates, or do you keep it more spontaneous? That’s definitely something I want to get better at in 2013 – the older I get, the more I realize the lasting value of real friendships and that they’re something that’s so worth investing in. Hope you all have a lovely weekend, and enjoy my favorite links from the week!

Congrats to my friend Kathryn… you’re in for the greatest adventure!
