Happy weekend, lovebirds. As February 14th approaches, I’ve been giving some thought to the importance of little gestures – either romantic ones for our significant others, or just sweet signs of our affection to those we love. Gift-giving is one of my favorite things, and I’m always on the lookout for little items that remind me of people I care about: a tin of maldon sea salt for my mom, fragrant ginger tea for my pregnant friend, the chocolate bar that Adam used to eat as a kid in England. I know it brings as much joy to me as the receiver, and it’s the element of surprise that totally makes their day. (ps- my friend Joy has been doing this fun series about small actions to “make someone happy,” – so inspiring!) As Valentine’s approaches, what little gestures are you doing for the loves in your life? And which would you love to receive?
