You know those weeks (or months) when life just gets a little too busy – to the point where your calendar is out of control, your house is in disarray and you spend the time getting from point A to point B fantasizing about lying on a beach somewhere far, far away? We all have those times so I won’t expound on mine here, but I will say that yesterday I decided to take matters in my own hands and hit the pause button by checking into the spa for an afternoon of total pampering. I could literally feel the stress and busyness melting away within the first 20 minutes, and it was surprisingly soothing to know that my phone (and emails, tweets and texts) were locked away so I couldn’t even get to them even if I wanted to. As I walked back to my car, I felt light, bright and like I wanted to hug everyone I saw, and the funny thing is, today I’m actually excited to tackle the projects that seemed so overwhelming just yesterday. I guess that’s what getting rejuvenated is all about, right? I’d love to hear how you guys de-stress and recharge in the comments – and hope you all have a beautiful weekend! A few favorite links from the week:

An international DJ spills on her ideal food day, and more.

A hostess primer from the queen of chic.

Creative Austinites: last week to apply to be a Feliz vendor! (this is a can’t-miss event!)

Have you guys seen my imaginary well-dressed toddler? No? You’re in for a treat.

A country house in Menorca.

*and a few fun things you may have missed!

Entertaining with the inimitable Athena Calderone.

I whipped up a quick & delicious crisp with all the peaches at the market right now.
