Though the process of making decor decisions can sometimes feel impossible even to the most seasoned designers, I (Cristina) must admit that my commitment phobia reveals itself most in the kitchen. In a room full of permanent fixtures (counters, cabinets, appliances) decision-making becomes even more difficult than usual. But thanks to these photos by Matthew Williams for Dwell, I think I’ve finally found a look that I know I’d never tire of: brass and walnut. Dark woods and polished brass are both finishes that I typically associate with antiques, but in this space they feel totally modern (and I’m guessing that stunning brass range hood has something to do with it). While we all wish we could have these countertops, turns out there are plenty of other ways to introduce this handsome color pairing into your own kitchen, after the jump!
