Gingham Inspiration Board | Camille StylesMercedes-Benz Fashion Week is in full effect right now and (thanks to instagram and twitter) we’re already picking up on our favorite new trends happening on the runways! Designers are still print-happy these days, and I’ve been loving the return of gingham in both fall and resort collections. It’s a simple pattern that tends to come with a lot of associations (Tablecloths? Picnics? The Dukes of Hazzard?). Personally, I love when this traditionally casual print is treated in a more formal way — like the tailored cocktail dress from Lela Rose pictured above or upholstered on a handsome wingback chair. Used sparingly, gingham feels really fresh and modern right now… as long as you dress it up, and keep it far, far away from your blue jean cutoffs! What do you think? Are you feeling this vintage pattern? Or is it best left on the picnic table? Let us know in the comments!
