Happy short work week! Are y’all gearing up for Fourth of July festivities on Wednesday? We’re having a few friends and family over to swim, eat sticky-sweet barbecue ribs and potato salad and watch the fireworks over downtown Austin from our back terrace. This year I’m feeling a color palette that’s a little more sophisticated in indigo and white…with a few subtle splashes of red thrown in as a nod to tradition. I’ll definitely be incorporating blueberries into the dessert, but I can’t quite decide between this ice cream pie or an always-classic shortcake. What are all of you planning for July 4th? Staying close to home, or taking off for an extra-long weekend away?

I love indigo! And that peach and blueberry ice cream pie has me drooling.
Enjoy your fourth!

I love the look of a crisp white top with dark denim and red heels. Perfect (and comfy!) outfit for the 4th! I have a 6 day weekend coming up. It means catching up on some projects around the house!
I will be missing the festivities for the French Countryside!
even though I am British I love to see all the party inspirations for 4th July – from healthy to outrageous treats!
I decided to jump on the band wagon and whip up patriotic oreos – white chocolate dipped oreos sprinkled with blue and white funfetti (they are so more-ish!)
Adore your blog camille and regularly read it!
