Monochromatic Monday :: Spring Awakening

Pink_Green_Inspiration

Don’t you just want to live in today’s board? Or at least, throw a party like it? Although the sun is barely peeking through the clouds this morning, the warmer weather has definitely put me in a picnic-on-the-grass, frolic-in-the-fields kind of mood. Over the weekend, Adam and I took a long walk through the neighborhood and I swear the streets were heavy with the fragrance of blooming trees and vines. The rosy pinks and grass green in today’s board would make the perfect palette for springtime bridal showers and weddings, especially if the bride embraces a romantic sensibility. Cake stands piled high with tiny cakes and macarons, floral garlands snaking down the length of tables (and crowning the bride’s head!)

Did you all have a good weekend? We spent some time with my parents (did I mention they moved to Austin last week? So thrilled!), celebrated my good friend Diana’s 30th birthday and did some major organizing around the house. ‘Tis the season for spring cleaning!

    Beautiful board. When I was pregnant with my daughter I was all things pink and green and decorated her nursery with all these pretty shades of pink and green. We moved on to a completely gypsy-like theme in her big girl room last year but this is bringing back very sweet memories.

    How wonderful that your parents are now in Austin! They’ll be able to spend a lot of time with the baby and I’m sure helping you too :)

    Love the pink and white blooming cherry trees this time of year. They’re a favorite of mine.
