Monochromatic Monday :: Spring Fling

Pink and Green Inspiration Board | Camille Styles

I’ll admit — I’ve been holding on to that fabulous picture of Olivia Palermo since it was first published back in February! No palette is as definitively “spring” to me as pink and green. It’s the look of tennis courts, Masters jackets, freshly cut lawns, and graduation bouquets. (Did I mention preppy?) For interiors right now I’m loving an almost moss shade of green — especially in velvet against walnut and brass for a rich look. (Have you seen Tory Burch’s drawing room?) And fashion-wise, shades of apple and emerald green are great for fair-skinned girls like me. (Just one more reason to break out the SPF 50.) As the temperature inches higher, I hope you find a patio or garden to enjoy during these last few weeks of spring!

    Oh what a colour palette, it’s stunning, I used to be quite wary of green but it excites me no end these days.

      Thanks, Ashley! I love to hear from a reader when we’ve used their favorite color on Monochromatic Monday. My mom’s favorite color is green, so I associate that preference with good people. I found a fun little article here on what our favorite colors say about our personalities. http://www.care2.com/greenliving/favorite-color-personality.html?page=2 (Mine is blue, and the description is dead-on!)

    Oooh these palattes are always super pretty, but loving this one especially! Maybe it’s all the preppiness! Definitely gets me in the mood for summer dress!

      Yes, we are SO excited for summer here at the office. (We’ve had some unusually late cold snaps here in Austin so it feels like we’ve had a “long winter.”) I’m happy to finally put my tights and sweaters away! Bring it on, summer.
