Monochromatic Monday :: Wild Rose

rose_pink_inspiration_board

As much as I love urban life, there’s definitely a part of me that dreams of waking up each day in the English countryside, enjoying my scones & tea in a garden that’s overflowing with roses, ivy and crumbling stone walls that have been around for hundreds of years. Kind of like this…wildly romantic, isn’t it? I’d love to bring a taste of the Cotswalds to a stateside garden party this summer, designed in shades of rosy pinks and ivy greens and dripping with floral touches at every turn. Delicate china, grapefruit-mint cocktails and a couldn’t-be-girlier cake make the perfect starting point for a late-June bridal shower or brunch, don’t you think? I’m off to NYC this morning for a whirlwind 48-hours of meetings…and I have a feeling I may be dreaming of secret gardens amidst all that concrete! Hope you all have a lovely start to the week! xx

    Good morning Camille! I live in the heart of the Cotswolds and even though it’s raining very heavily (and has been for days!), it’s lush and green with lots of colourful little flower heads peeking out through the raindrops! I’ll be putting on my bright pink wellington boots soon for the walk to kindergarten to pick up my two little girls, and I’ll think of you as I wander past the many crumbling walls of our pretty little village! If you’re ever in the Cotswolds, please do let me know – I would delight in baking you fresh scones and many other yummy baked goods! And my little girls would be thrilled to meet your soon-to-arrive darling little girl! All best wishes, Jenni x

    O la la! Girly and beautiful! Makes me almost wish the baby shower I’m throwing was for a baby girl (it’s a boy though!)
