Did anyone else see Ana’s post this morning and instantly feel a tiny jolt of excitement? Something about red, white and blue strikes the happiest chord with me, and all-at-once brings to mind memories of sleep-away camp, watching fireworks on the roof of my dad’s car and putting together the perfect patriotic get-up. I always allow myself a teeny bit of kitschy leniency when it comes to celebrating The Fourth, because it just doesn’t seem right to ring in Independence Day without over-the-top stars and stripes. And though I’ve never given too much thought to incorporating the day’s theme into my home decor, I’m currently loving the looks of all these rooms that seem to balance on the fine line between kitsch and true style. Click through to see a few of my favorites, and I’d love to hear from you… do you deck out your home with all-American details for the Fourth, or even outfit your rooms in red, white and blue all year round?
