10 Best :: Summer Hostess Gifts

Is your schedule getting jam-packed with summer parties? I’m starting to notice that each passing week contains  more cook-outs, pot lucks and pool parties than the week before, and while I’m definitely not complaining, continuously coming up with unique and appreciated hostess gifts can get challenging. I’ve rounded up a few items that our team is loving this summer, all perfect for popping into a bag and gifting to every hostess on your social calendar. Click through the collection, and let us know what you love to give (or get!) in summer hostess situations.

Such unique items! The salt collection – from the contents to the packaging – is just lovely.

I always love homemade gifts, whether as a guest or hostess. I once made a homemade spice mix for a friend of mine who was hosting – we both love world cuisines so I found a recipe for an Ethiopian spice mix – from whole spices which I then toasted, ground, mixed, and packaged. I packed that along with more whole spices and some recipes to recreate the dishes from our nearby Ethiopian restaurant!

As a hostess, I once received a lovely homemade aromatherapy eye pillow, sewn by a friend – it was filled with rice and seeds and dried lavender. It was such a treat.

I think it’s nice to think about what the gift recipient would want but probably not purchase or make for herself. Like in my case, I can’t sew to save my life so the homemade aromatherapy eye pillow was much appreciated!
