DIY :: Award Worthy Skewers

Before you all slip off to your weekend adventures, we’ve got one more touch of Oscar Night glamour to send your way. Remember our clean white table design with gold DIY accents (like this one & this one)? Well, we saved one of our favorite details for last: tinsel pom skewers, perfect for setting up a modern buffet that’s rife with decadent bites. Keep reading for instructions to create your own (they’re super easy, by the way), and dress up your Oscar viewing party by sticking into a tasty bite or swirling champagne cocktail.

• tinsel garland
• skewers
• scissors
• hot glue gun

1. Use scissors to cut skewers to desired height.
2. Cut approximately a 3-inch piece of tinsel.
3. Fold tinsel over to create a pom, and attach to top of skewer with hot glue.
