Happy Wednesday you guys! Michelle here with this week’s daring design challenge, kicked up with a major dose of southwestern spice. I’m totally inspired by cacti’s rugged exterior and visual impact, and these oversized versions take “house plant” to an entirely new level. Follow the jump to view some radical interpretations in a roundup of amazing rooms, and please do tell: would you dare to revamp your space with such a structural statement?
I love how plants highlight the most beautiful aspects of a room! Great!
Love this and yes I will dare!
They say that to have cacti in the home is bad feng shui, I disagree. I love this post! Beautiful images!
Thanks for sharing Michelle.

I have a Jade cactus in my apartment, and I read that they’re good fortune because they’re flat round leaves resemble coins! It’s pretty & a breeze to maintain, so I think I’ll stick with that interpretation
Agreed Mariana, only positive vibes here! Chanel, that’s awesome, I want to see a pic!
Yes! I do! A cactus is actually just what my living room needs — thanks for the inspiration!
Absolutely Emily, so pleased that you’re inspired!
Great space.
Love the idea of using a low maintenance, oversized plant as the focal point of a room, great job michelle!
Thanks so much Kelly! xo
I love this, and i love cacti! They’re low maintenance and beautiful. Win-win.
Wonderful. xx
Thanks so much ya’ll! Glad you’re loving it. I agree, structured cacti and succulents are such a simple, yet stunning way to revamp a space and make a bold statement!
My kind of house for sure! Wonderful!
