Today’s mood board was inspired by this jaw-droppingly gorgeous centerpiece spotted on Snippet & Ink… apricot garden roses, diminutive lady apples & trailing vines come together for a stunning display of fall romance. I wanted to design a palette that whispers autumn, without using the ubiquitous shades of orange & rust usually spotted at this time of year. I’m envisioning this look for a wedding or party under the boughs of an apple orchard…or at least in a backyard garden on a sunny November afternoon. Take a cue from the colors of a blushing apple & incorporate shades of peach, rhubarb & ivy. A vintage typewriter as “guestbook” lends nostalgic charm, & miniature apples with tiny scrolls bearing guest names are fitting place cards. I can’t think of a more perfect menu than a rustic buffet overflowing with homemade pies… choose a few from this collection for surefire success.
