Happy Memorial Day, m’dears! Are all of you enjoying this lovely long weekend? It definitely feels like summer’s arrival here in Austin, and I’m ringing it in with a totally laid-back day spent with family by the pool. I pulled together a few of my favorite patriotic images for this inspiration board as I dreamed up the perfect Memorial Day fête. The palette of navy, white & cherry would work as well for a backyard bbq as it would for a clambake on the beach. A table runner made from bandanna print fabric, mason jars with candy stripe straws and tubs full of ice cold beers & old-fashioned cokes add touches of nostalgic charm. However you’re spending the day, hope it’s full of sunshine, fun and a moment to remember all those who have sacrificed so much for this great country.
