    Cooking risotto (any kind), it involves wine and it is easy for two people to make together.

    My husband whips up the BEST Caesar salad. The first time he coddled an egg, I knew it was love. Then sometimes we make chicken marsala with asparagus risotto. We like to play some Rolling Stones and pour lots of merlot. We even have a sign in our kitchen that says “Approach love and cooking with reckless abandon.”

    Scallops in an orange scented sauce and his favorite dessert, an apple tart. His job, choosing the perfect wine and providing complements!

    My boyfriend is no chef, but we love having Eggs Benedict on lazy Saturdays. Since there is always something to celebrate in New Orleans, mimosas will usually accompany breakfast!

  5. One of our favorites to make is a soul warming bowl of Paella. We pour a glass of wine, turn on our favorite swing music and enjoy our romantic dinner for two!

    mmm.. love this topic. My fav meal to cook for two is scallops wrapped in bacon, risotto, roasted asparagus with chocolate souffle for dessert.

    Anything light and super fresh. Usually a big salad with roasted Brussels sprouts if i’m feeling zealous, and sauteed fish or scallops. All while my man is shucking oysters and pouring the beer for him and wine for me!

    We just ate at August for the first time and loved it! I wish that trout could become part of my weekly dinner rotation 🙂 I usually cook comfort food this time of year- pork ragu with a great salad and big glass of red wine! Dinner for two, coming right up!

    One of our favourite meals is mushroom risotto with simply seasoned pan fried lamb chop steaks and a spinach arugala tomato salad on the side. Oh and a nice glass of red wine preferably a Cabernet or petite syrah.

    My partner and I love to cook together. It makes our meals that much more special when we both have a hand in the dish. When we’re feeling indulgent, our favorite meal to cook is three cheese risotto with asparagus.

    My husband loves when I make Mediterranean green lentil soup. We like it with toasted French bread. And if I’ve got enough time the night before, a chilled Nutella tart for dessert. Mmm…

  28. I’ve been dying for a Besh Box subscription! I love John Besh’s restaurants and am missing Louisiana food since I moved from there to the Midwest. We make my husband’s grandfather’s spaghetti bolognese recipe, drink wine, and listen to Louis Prima.

  29. My hubby and I always cook dinner together instead of going out for Valentine’s Day. We usually make some sort of pasta – something a little bit fancier than a normal dinner. Its one of our favorite traditions!

    Vegetarian risotto! It’s a slow easy meal to make that relaxes you and gets you in the mood for a stress free meal! Plus, you have to open a bottle of wine to make it! 😉

    We have a hibachi grill that we absolutely love! My boyfriend makes steak and shrimp with sautéed veggies. While he’s grilling our food to perfection, we both sip on some wine and listen to the tunes play through the window on our back porch. Nothing is more romantic than cooking and enjoying each other’s quality time with one another. 🙂

    What I wouldn’t give to with this! I’d be completely elated! My fave meal for just my hubby and me: a big green salad with toasted almonds and avocado and broccoli slaw + homemade coconut curried butternut squash and green sprouted lentils. Yum!

  46. I love cooking a salmon with a brown sugar, cumin glaze and a side of rice. Its super easy to make and my boyfriend is always excited about it no matter how many times I make it.

    I love to make pasta, I love on pot meals and there so much you can add into pasta to make it unique. Plus it’s so indulgent and deliciously indulgent

  48. Pumpkin gnocchi with a sage brown butter sauce and sauteed butternut squash. Rolling out strips of gnocchi and cutting and dimpling them is a lot of fun, and it’s easy enough that no one gets mad! Plus, it’s filling and delicious, and high in lots of vitamin A! To counter the sweetness and heaviness of the dish, I like to serve with a butter lettuce salad in a simple lemon vinaigrette.

    We love to make sushi rolls! It is a lot of fun working together on them, and they are always delicious! We also love to bake up some roasted pear slices with cinnamon for dessert. Mmmmm.

    Me and my husband are both foodies and will try anything once. Our favorite meal has to be raw oysters as an appetizer and cedar plank salmon with bourbon maple glaze and bacon roasted brussel sprouts as the main course. He usually shucks the oysters while I prepare the glaze for the salmon and we both pour ourselves a healthy glass of wine.

    Coq au Vin is one of my favorites for any occasion. I saved enough for us after I delivered a batch to a friend a few weeks ago and it was the perfect quiet dinner for two. Particularly good this time of year.

    Our favorite meal is a gorgeous Greek inspired spread – lemon marinated chicken souvlaki, marinated onions, fresh tomatoes, homemade tzatziki and hummus, and warm pita bread – paired with a yummy Pinot and a strawberry granita with frozen creme fraiche!

    My husband has embraced the art of making paella. He is so organized about it, engages our kids for cutting up and organizing ingredients and then takes his time pulling it all together. it tastes fantastic and I absolutely love how he has embraced having a signature dish of his own – I do most of the cooking – while also sharing a love of cooking with our 3 kids.

    Date night meals are all about Fish Tacos! I use whichever delicate fresh fish is available, whip up a spicy cilantro cream sauce, chop up lots of fresh veggie toppings and make refried black beans. This meal is not complete without my famous margaritas made with freshly squeezed orange, and lime juice with a lovely splash of St. Germain!

    I love having seafood. Start the meal with steamers (sometimes I will dig them up myself) and end with a lobster. A nice way to make doing in feel special.
