The Ultimate Guide to an Austin Bachelorette Party

October 8th, 2015

If I had a dollar for each time I was asked for Austin recommendations — specifically, for bachelorette parties — I’d have enough cash to buy a one-way ticket to Bali. But why would I do such a thing, when this town has so much going on all the time? At the moment it’s the ACL music festival, in two weeks it’ll be Formula One, then Fun Fun Fun Fest shortly thereafter, and so on. So with so many attractions and events, it’s no wonder visitors feel the need to reach out for suggestions — sure, Austin is pretty small and centralized, but it’s still so easy to feel overwhelmed by all it has to offer.

Which leads us to today’s post: a detailed guide to planning the best ever weekend bachelorette party in Austin. I don’t care how big your group is, what kind of bride you’re catering to, or where you’re visiting from, there’s something on this list for you. I’ve broken down where to stay, what to do, what to eat and where to drink, and within each of those categories, a ranking of the most inexpensive to the priciest options. Click through, take notes, and in the comments section feel free to add in your two cents!

I love Austin! Truthfully I love Texas since we can get around to different cities so easily. Austin, dallas, houston, San antonio, etc. Austin is a MUST this month.

GREAT recommendations!!!!!! I’m going to forward this to EVERYONE!

  4. I had the best time at my bachelorette party in Austin. Even though it was a couple of years ago it looks like we picked the right spots as most of them are mentioned here! Another great tip – go Cinco de Mayo weekend like we did. There is a great street fair, everyone is out having fun and if you have to wear the dreaded veil you can attach it to a free tequila giveaway cowboy hat like I did!

  5. Yesss. Good calls, Chanel!

If you can’t make it to Bali, then try the next best option: The Loft House in Austin. Great for weekend retreats, bachelorette trips and, overall, a fabulous place to stay while in Austin.

Austin is SO fun! When we were there we took a cirque du soliel style trapeze lesson. It was amazing!

Is there any way to link to the exact Homeaway’s you mentioned? If you click on them it just takes you to their main search page. Thanks for the recommendations!

This is an awesome guide! Does anyone know of any wineries close to Austin? We’d like to taxi/uber to a vineyard and take a tour and do some tastings, but don’t know where to start!
