An Apple a Day

By Camille Styles

‘Tis the season to sink your teeth into crunchy, ripe apples…and I’ve been cooking, baking and gleaning tons of inspiration from their myriad shapes and colors already this month. Thought I’d put together a roundup of our favorite ways to use apples and a few apple-centric inspiration boards from the last couple of years. I guarantee that after looking through these, you’ll be planning the menu for your next fall dinner party…or even tonight’s dessert.

“Harvest” inspiration in shades of falling leaves and cinnamon sticks.

Apple & Stilton Harvest Salad is my current favorite weeknight dinner –  brimming with blue cheese, granny smiths, walnuts and raisin bread croutons.

Raise a glass to chilly autumn evenings with this brandy-spiked Apple Orchard Cocktail.

This “Apple Orchard” inspiration board started with an article about a pomologist who grows hundreds of varieties of heirloom apples.

Jess’s Rustic Apple Tart is the perfect light, satisfying treat at the end of a cozy meal.

Homemade apple chips are so much better than the store-bought kind.

Apple inspiration that feels as fresh and crisp as the first day of school.

A festive twist on apple pie, served up in mini mason jars for each guest.
