One of the (many) reasons I love living in Austin is the casual, creative vibe this city embraces from its music scene to its design community to the unique personal styles spotted in every neighborhood. You really can wear jeans and fit in just about anywhere, but the key is finding a way to wear them that feels fresh and totally personal to the wearer. With that in mind, I embraced the challenge when StyleMint asked if I’d be their Austin pick for the Style For Your City Challenge, joining a handful of stylish bloggers around the country wearing StyleMint pieces in a way that reflects each of our cities. The really great part? All of you will have the chance to style an outfit and win StyleMint pieces to add to your wardrobes! I’ll fill you in on the details of the challenge below, but first: Chelsea and I spent an afternoon hanging at one of my fave Austin spots, La Condesa, styling and shooting my Austin-style looks… and obviously having way too much fun in the process. Keep reading for details on my looks and the rules of the challenge…
How fab is this vintage pinball machine on La Condesa’s upstairs patio? It was the perfect backdrop for a look that felt a little bit girly, a little bit rock ‘n roll, and I slipped StyleMint’s Verona top over my favorite pair of stretchy MIH jeans and threw on a pair of Tory Burch espadrille wedges (similar here) and a bold geometric cuff I snagged at Eliza Page. You guys know I’m not a huge hat person… but with its hipster vibe, this outfit just seemed to call for one. And you know what? It kind of made me want to wear hats all summer long…
As the sun went down, I ordered a margarita and slipped into something a little more breezy and feminine. StyleMint’s Everett Dress is perfect for easy summer dressing and needs little adornment: flat gold sandals, a braided leather belt and little gold clutch keep this dress in casual-cool territory, but still feeling chic for a dinner out.
Now it’s your turn: show us what ya got and snap a photo of yourself wearing an outfit that represents the city you call home, then post the photo at the contest on StyleMint’s Facebook page (where you’ll also be featured!) between now and April 17th. A handful of other bloggers around the country will join me to choose our favorites, and winners will be announced on April 22nd.
**First place winner will receive 5 StyleMint credits, second place gets 2, and third place gets 1 credit!** (contest is limited to readers in the US, and must be at least 18 years old.)
Can’t wait to see the outfits you guys put together to represent your cities – and good luck!

That’s my favorite, too. The light was perfect that day!
Lookin’ fabulous, Camille! After our much anticipated move this summer, my boyfriend and I plan on celebrating at La Condesa. I will never forget the guacamole trio I experienced there last June. Ooooh, yum!

Ashley
Ashley, did you make it up to Malverde above La Condesa? If not, head up there after you celebrate for a cocktail!
I didn’t, but we’ll be sure to now! Thanks for the tip, Chelsea!
Love that guac trio… when I’m craving it, nothing else will do! 😉
Great photos, very cute, love the hat!
Thanks! I agree—the hat was the perfect accessory for the first look.
Hottest boss award goes to YOU!
So cute! Where is the hat from? I’ve been searching high and low for a good fedora!
You look awesome in all of them!
You look so darn gorgeous, Camille!! My husband and I LOVE dining at La Condesa. We go to the one in St Helena (Napa Valley) almost every weekend. Their Boca Negra dessert is out of this world!
