Blame it on my mother, but I seem to have developed a real preoccupation with pint-sized gifts. When it comes to stockings on Christmas morning, it’s commonly known in the Smith family that “that’s where the good stuff is.” Mom always made sure to fill ours with fresh oranges, nuts, and more than a few surprises. I love the idea of hiding a small but luxurious gift (like jewelry or a special bottle of perfume) in a stocking for an unexpected surprise.
