Some mornings, my ritual is the only thing that gets me out of bed — I put the kettle on while I brush my teeth and wash my face, and let the tea cool while I finish off my makeup. It’s simple, but having a routine gets my day off to an orderly start! When Piret couldn’t find space in the kitchen for her wine fridge, she made a weekend project of it. She placed the coffee maker atop the wine fridge, and added floating shelves from Ikea to store her cups, spoons and cinnamon… I love when design dilemmas have happy endings! I’m feeling inspired to create a pretty coffee corner myself, and here are my picks to bring the look home.

candle – In the fall and winter I like to light a candle while I get ready for work, just don’t forget to blow it out before you leave!

french press – I have been known to have a French press on the shelf just for looks, but I’m determined to learn how to use one properly this fall!

flower painting – This peony painting by Texan Thomas Darnell is exquisite, and I was inspired by Piret’s framed photo of Freja Beha Erichsen with a rose.

gold tea light holders – I love that no two of these cute little cups are alike.

mugs – These Kate Spade mugs are part of the Saturday collection, a bargain at just $10 each.

gatsby nightshirt – I’m absolutely obsessed with this nightshirt, perfect for spending entire Sundays in.

cosmopollen honey – I love sweetening my tea with honey in the morning. And once you polish this jar off, that gorgeous container is a keeper!

horn coffee scoop – What a perfectly luxurious way to scoop your coffee.

iron teapot – One day I’d like to have an extensive teapot collection, and this classic shape in iron will be a must-have.

I love the idea of a little coffee bar in the kitchen! And you must learn how to use a French press! It’s so easy and really does make the best coffee.

That’s really good to hear, I’m intimidated by the French press but I’m sure I’ll get the hang of it!

Christina – great post! I’ve been adding black, white & gold to my new apt so these pieces are so fitting…especially the gorgeous honey container! I second Kory- French presses are amazing & I’ve seen a lot of people use them for tea (not only coffee) lately which may be a fun way if you’re planning to test it out. 😉

Whoa I’ve never heard of making tea in one. Brilliant! Absolutely gonna test that out thanks Katie.

A French press is at the top of my list! I’ve been making more of an effort to make coffee/tea at home, but having a few of these lovely items would be even better for motivation!

A French press would be well worth your while if it means cutting down on regular trips to Starbucks 😉

I’ve never tried french press coffee but I’ve had my eye on one that looks just like that. It’s so cute and I think I might have fallen in love with that gastsby nightshirt!

I love coffee corners! I have a small kitchen but I have stagnated a corner of the countertop for my coffee press and jars. I’m all for morning rituals- after my husband leaves for work and I feed my son bfast, he plays in his playroom by himself so that’s my coffee + blog reading time! Oh and I love all the home products from Kate Spade Saturday 🙂
