Everyday I pin interiors that are exquisite, inspiring and jaw droppingly gorgeous. But I have to admit, I wouldn’t feel comfortable kicking back with my feet up in most of them… you know I love all white everything, but sometimes a girl’s gotta eat pizza on the couch! While I love the look of an art gallery-like loft, I also aim to make my home a warm and inviting space, and I’d say this living room from Ann Lowe’s Mason home nails that balance between well-curated and comfortable. Keep reading to bring this look home…

wooden mobile – I’m a sucker for art museum gift shops, and I recently bought a mobile on my latest trip. It’s a unique way to draw your eye up, especially in an apartment that lacks in architectural features.

succulent sculptures – Everyone says you can’t kill a cactus, but if you’re like me you know anything’s possible. I’ve seen the demise of many plants (yes, even succulents) so these sculptures are just the ticket!

porcelain vase – Handcrafted pieces like this wabi sabi vase bring a homey element to a space.

kilim rug & wool rug – The only thing cozier than a soft rug beneath your feet? Two rugs, layered.

room spray – I’m a Mrs. Meyer’s junkie, so this room spray smells like home to me. What are your favorite home scents?

tweed pillows – As summer draws to a close, introduce a touch of fall into your space with tweed throw pillows.

basket – You can’t go wrong with natural textures like wood and straw.

copper chair – Ok, not the most inviting chair I’ve ever seen. But I couldn’t resist its warm copper color and aged patina.

There is something about a southwestern style rug on wood floors that just seems so homey! I have concrete floors (I live in a loft), and our southwestern rug gives our home so much more warmth! It also reminds us of our travels in the southwest (even if we bought it online).

A loft with concrete floors and a southwestern rug sounds like heaven to me!

I adore Mrs. Meyers and love the candles, spray cleaner and soap in my favorite scents of lavender and geranium. Those tweed pillows are classics, and I spotted some that look just like these yesterday at Ikea for a terrific price.

Such an inspiring room. And welcoming too due to the wooden elements and colour palette. And the rug is gorgeous! Actually, I love all the rugs in this post. 🙂

Yes the handwoven rugs complement the wooden elements beautifully. I’m totally on a rug kick too Ada 🙂

Lovely post – thanks for introducing me to Ann Lowe. I would have no problem at all living in one of her spaces.

She was new to me too! I always love discovering new designers and pouring over their portfolio.

Any idea where the bar stools came from? Would be perfect in my soon-to-be-remodeled kitchen!
