Spring is in the air, and judging by your comments earlier this week, we’re not the only ones getting our homes and gardens ready for the warmer weather. Remember that springtime garden party we showed you a few weeks ago? Well, we thought we’d give you another sneak peak into the shoot, this time by showing how we created sweet seed packet favors that also doubled as place cards, perfect for celebrating springs arrival. (For these, we were initially inspired by Chelsea’s tea party favors and made a few garden party-worthy tweaks!) These little guys couldn’t be easier to DIY, and will send guests home ready to see how their gardens grow. Keep reading for the instructions, and stay tuned for more fun details from the shoot!
- Use scalloped scissors to cut top of kraft bag into rounded shape.
- Fold bag over and stamp vegetable in center to correspond with seed packet that will be stuffed inside. Hand write name of guest beneath the stamp using white gel pen.
- Cut 6-inch long piece of string. Glue string and button on top of the fold, and glue second button just above the veggie stamp, as pictured above. When gluing buttons, just lightly press down on glue in order to leave space beneath the button to tie string around.
- Stuff bag with seed packet, fold flap over and wrap string around buttons in a figure-8 to secure.
