After a few months of frothy pastels, patriotic palettes and neon shocks of summer color…I’m starting to feel the first whispers of autumn palettes drawing my attractions. Jewel tones and gilded details speak to the cool breezes that signal fall’s arrival, and while I’m definitely not ready to pack away my sandals and sundresses, I’m starting to dream about the harvest dinners that await us in the coming season. Perfect timing, since we’re already in the thick of planning for a Thanksgiving shoot for a national media outlet next week…and I’ve finally settled on this moody, glamorous palette inspired by blackberry vines and vintage brass candlesticks. A buffet overflowing with maple-glazed turkey and fragrant sage dressing dressed with a dramatic magnolia-leaf garland, vintage china adorned with berry brambles and lattice-toppied pies bursting with sweet fruit… I’m so enamored with the look that I just may adopt it for my family’s celebration this November!
