There’s something about living in a college town that keeps you young —  and makes September feel especially exciting. Jenn here, feeling lucky to live near not just any university, but my own alma mater! September always brings back the excitement and energy of that very first freshman semester for me: exploring a beautiful campus, meeting new friends and professors, and (most importantly) the thrill of being asked on that oh-so-important “date to the game.” (In an endearing tradition that has mysteriously survived decades of change, boys still escort the girls to football games at the University of Texas.) Now, almost ten years later,  I’m amazed at how little the collegiate look has changed. The tousled hair, sweatshirts, backpacks… It almost seems as though those four years exist just outside the world of mainstream fashion. And while I’m happy to have ditched the backpack, I still love button-down shirts, loafers, and cute dates to football games. My curfew just might be a tad bit earlier these days.
