It’s supposed to hit 80+ degrees today (don’t hate, East Coasters) and it’s days like this when I’m reminded yet again how much I love living in Austin. I’m planning to close the computer early, pull on my favorite cutoffs and take Phoebe to a park somewhere so she can try out a swing set for the first time. This Friday also kicks off another SXSW, and thousands of film buffs, tech gurus and music fans will flood the city for one big party. It’s always fun to show off the best of Austin to out-of-towners – great barbecue and tacos for breakfast, lunch and dinner included. I think what I love most about this city is the laid-back cool and casual style you encounter wherever you go. Austin may boast as many hipsters as Brooklyn these days, but I’ve got to say that the warmth and hospitality is pure Southern. Are any of you guys coming for SXSW this year?
